Time Machine: Berlin’s Wall Tour
November 9th, 1989: The night the Berlin Wall fell. More than 20 years ago, people celebrated a reunited Germany. Today the marks of the Berlin Wall serve as a great visual guide to our visitors. The tour follows the tracks of the remainders of the Berlin Wall- physically and mentally- by using a combination of bus rides, bus stops, and walking tours.
We will stop at the former crossing point Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall Memorial located at Bernauer Street, the Bornholmer Bridge, die East Side Gallery, the Watchtower at Schlesischen Busch and the cemetery for the victims of the wall near by the Brandenburg Gate.
